Rocky Mountain High

Last week Wednesday Ryan and I left the lovely Minnesota weather

In search of mountains in Colorado…

and a coveted big buckle for Ryan at the Leadville 100 MTB.

The first few days of our trip are usually pretty crazy and filled with lots of activity…bike building, pre-race meetings, and planning for the big day.

As always nutrition is the key to a good race.  Thanks for all the support!

Race day!  Good morning Leadville!

Saturday morning at the start…looking fast!

And this is where I spend the hours of 630am to 1200 pm during the race

Not such a bad view, eh?!

The race finish and a PR! (I know it was a little short of the big buckle, but Ryan had a smile on his face most the day and really rode strong to the end.)

This is my favorite part, because the real vacation can start. No race stress. Fun rides. And of course, a few cocktails 🙂

All good things must come to an end, but as always

See you again in a year!
