On my unofficial half-marathon plan is a 10 mile run for this weekend. How will I do this on the treadmill?! Ugh. I am not really a weenie when it comes to running in the rain, but the “feels like” temp is 32degrees. YUCK. Cold and wet=cold feet and miserable. Good thing I still have a few weeks before June 3rd and the Minneapolis Marathon (half for me). It is getting down to the wire though and my “long” runs have been taking place on the mill instead of the road. Not cool. Not cool at all.
Ryan is racing again this afternoon (Ken Woods Memorial RR), which means I am with the boys all day. I will “take one for the team” and suck up my boredom and hit the gym. I really doubt I will come near 10 miles, but I will be
bored out of my mind running either way. I am going to try to stick with last week’s plan and try to score a mill by the TV’s. I was able to stay mildly entertained and picked up the pace .2-.3mph during the commercials to mix it up a bit. Wish me luck!
