Black beans + brownie mix = YUM

1 15.5 ounce can of black beans
1 package brownie mix (20 ounces)

Preheat oven to 350.

Grease a 9X9 pan.  Puree undrained black beans in food processor until smooth.  Combine with brownie mix until smooth.

Pour into pan.  Bake according to instructions on box.  Mine took about 38 minutes to be slightly under-cooked (which is how I like them).

You can not tell the difference in taste. You are also adding  ZERO fat to the mix.  In comparison, egg and oil adds about 6.5 grams.  Give it a try! Kid approved 🙂

I did this with blueberries instead of black beans. Henry liked them. You can taste the blueberries. I don’t really like chocolate and blueberries together so they weren’t my fav.

  2. I wonder if bananas would work?! I do like chocolate and bananas 🙂

Doesn’t the brownie’s texture change when adding the black beans and leaving out the oil and eggs?
