So it’s day 4 of my 10 day detox…
Day 1- easy, peasy. The hardest part was that I worked a 12-hour night shift and did not bring enough snacks. I left work super hungry and that is just not cool. Luckily it was pretty busy, so I didn’t really get a chance to think about it until I got in my car on the way home. But I went to bed hungry because my normal go-to pre-bed snack would be Greek yogurt and granola- both of which I cannot have 😦 So I sacked out instead—>
Day 2- starving! I woke up at 3pm and had a water with some metamucil and then had my smoothie. A cup full of pistachios as a snack a little bit later. Then I decided to go run at the gym and take the boys swimming. By the time I got home, I was ravenous. You may have seen me begging for food like this—>
I made a super yummy salad. See recipe here. BUT THEN IT HIT ME- I couldn’t have any wine 😦 This was tough. I really wanted to unwind with Ryan and watch some TV and just relax. Instead I pouted a bit, watched TV and went to bed early.
Day 3- not too hard. The food part is easy for me. It really isn’t that much of a variance from our normal, minus having a nice piece of bread with our salads at dinner. Breakfast was a smoothie. Morning snack of eggs and nuts. Lunch was tuna salad, lettuce wraps and grapefruit. YUM—>Afternoon snack was nuts and an apple. Then I went to spinclass and was ravenous again…so I decided to have a smoothie at the gym cafe to help make it to dinner- very helpful! A sushi dinner was made and all was good with the world again- except I really missed that yummy sake that we would normally have along side it. Oh well, water and more water and another early night to bed. Two days in a row of being to bed before 11pm- unheard of at the Hall house.
Last night I was kind of feeling like “ridiculously dull Bobby” not “fun bobby”- ha! Do you remember that Friend’s episode?
Day 4 is here and it should go by without a hitch. I have to work again tonight- this time I am bringing an arsenal of snacks with me 🙂
Are any of you doing this with me? How’s it going so far?
This was the highlight of my week —> Two of Rowan’s spelling words last week were “fan” and “mom”. He has to use them in a sentence and then circle the word. 🙂 “Im a Packers fan. I Love Mom.” Makes a Mama proud.
