Stromboli…good enough to double-dip!

INGREDIENTS~

1/2 pound Italian sausage (cooked)
pepperoni slices
1 bell pepper, sliced
black olives, sliced
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1 jar pizza sauce
2 packages pre-made pizza dough (I like TJ’s)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Lay out pizza dough on floured surface and roll out flat.
Cut 1-2 inch slits on both sides of dough.

In middle of dough, lay out your toppings:
sausage, pepperoni, peppers, olives, cheese, etc…

Bring cut slits together in middle and wrap them around each other-
seal on the side.

Gently transfer filled dough to well-greased cookie sheet.
Lightly brush top with EVOO and
Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.

Bake for 20-30 minutes OR until crust is fully cooked and top is browned.

Serve with warmed pizza sauce or marinara sauce for dipping.

Have you tried something like this?

I didn’t add the chili’s because Henry is not currently loving spicy stuff, but it was still good.

  2. No, but now I will 🙂
