Evil treadmill

I came across this photo today—>

HILARIOUS!  Because this is how I feel every time I step foot on a treadmill…too funny 🙂

Maybe the treadmill and I just need to have an agreement.  You make me faster and I
will LOVE no longer talk bad about you behind your back.  Deal?  Deal!

I think if I could stare at this while at the gym I would be a lot happier—> Instead I stare at something more like this 😦 —>After many attempts at finding the treadmill enjoyable, I had a revelation~  it pushes me harder than I can push myself outside.  WHY?  There are no stop signs.  NO stop lights.  No stops or pauses, period.  (Unless there is an emergency bathroom break!) So my 5 mile run, is a 5 mile consistent run.  The pace is steady, without fluctuations in tempo.

I have decided that the treadmill may actually make me a better runner.  I have no scientific evidence to support this theory, BUT if this is what I need to believe to make it through the winter, then I will.

…I will get on you, you evil treadmill.  Now do your part and make me faster!

I have been back on it for a probably over a month now – with it getting dark and our crazy family schedule if I didn’t have it, I wouldn’t be running at all.
