The joy of riding a bike

Today was my first day with 3 hours all to myself without paying for a babysitter.  (Although dollar for dollar, the babysitter is WAY cheaper!)  Carson started preschool this morning, which meant the hours of 0830-1130 were mine, all mine *insert maniacal laughter*.

What to do?  What to do?  Take a nap- nah.  Clean the house- nah.  Go to Target- nah.  Ride my bike- hell yeah!

I met my girlfriend, Joanna, at Lebanon Hills for a little Chequamegon preparation.  We rode the “easier” and “more difficult” laps for a grand total of 90 minutes on the bike.  What a great way to spend the morning 🙂  It was so fun to ride with a girl!  (I have only rode my mountain bike with boys, namely my husband.)

My FAVE parts~  we BOTH have irrational fears of loose rock, we BOTH have no problem clipping out and walking the hard stuff (aka logs, very rocky sections), we BOTH could laugh at our ridiculousness, we BOTH had FUN!

When I got home, Ryan said, “So how was it?  Did you guys figure out how to get over stuff?  Did you talk about how to figure the tough spots out?”  I laughed and answered, “Um, we talked about girl stuff and clipped out a lot!”  Mars versus Venus.

My wish for you is that you never lose the joy of riding a bike!
