Asian Chicken and Orange Lettuce Wraps


1 pound ground chicken or turkey
1/2 cup chopped red pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, finely chopped
2 T fresh lemon juice
2 T Hoison sauce
2 tsp brown sugar
1 1/2tsp sesame oil
1 tsp soy sauce
1 T red pepper sauce (Sriracha)
1 orange (peeled and chopped into segments)
handful of fresh cilantro
1 head of lettuce, separate into lettuce cups (I use Romaine or Bibb)

In large skillet, saute turkey until crumbling and no longer pink.  Pour into dish and set aside.

Add bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger and saute for 2 minutes.  Add meat back to pan.

In small bowl, blend lemon juice, hoison, sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce and Sriracha.

Pour sauce into pan and stir to coat the meat and veggies.  You may need to add a little water depending on thickness of sauce.  Reduce heat and simmer about 4 minutes.  Stir in the orange pieces and cilantro at end.  Serve in lettuce cups.

This one will not disappoint!

    It looks like there are carrots in this dish too. Is that right?

    Yum! Will make this for sure! The whole fam is sure to love! I always add TJs pea shoots to the top of lettuce wraps (like you’ve done with the carrot strips). Add those to your list of “must-haves” from TJs!
