A pink lifesaver

Check out my new Road ID bracelet!

If you aren’t familiar with Road ID~ you SHOULD be.  These little wrist bands, necklaces, or ankle bands could potentially save your life (or one of your loved ones) some day.

WHAT IS IT? Check out their website: http://www.roadid.com

As an emergency room nurse, I can personally tell you that having identification on you at all times is extremely important.  Over and over again, people come in to the hospital setting unconscious and aren’t able to speak for themselves.  This piece of ID will speak for you! It will give first responders your name, an emergency contact, your allergies, any pertinent medical information.  It can save your life, period.

I love my new Road ID.

This is a terrific idea…glad you have it and hope Ryan does too!

    • The boys and I got Ryan the FIXX ID a few years ago for Father’s Day. He wears it whenever he is out on a ride. The great thing about the bracelet is that you can literally wear it every day. Just last night at work a woman came in to the ER confused without any ID- several hours later, we still had no idea who she was or anyway to find out. Athlete or not- everyone should have the ability to carry an ID on them at all times. I know I won’t ever take mine off my wrist.
