Try this workout at home the next time you can’t fit in a hour of cardio or you are crunched for time. Trust me. This will hurt.
6 rounds, no breaks:
10 push-ups
15 squats
20 sit-ups (crossfit sit-ups)
10 deep-knee lunges
I came across this website: calicrossfit.blogspot.com yesterday. I don’t have access to all the equipment at home needed to do the exact workouts she posts, but I can do most and modify as needed.
I made the whole family do these last night and we are feeling it today! (Well Ryan and I are anyway. The boys did the workout but certainly didn’t put in the effort we did. When do kids learn how to do sit-ups? This was the hardest part for all of us.) ![]()
It hurts SO good. I actually have pain in my glutes! This is a huge success for me. I need strength in this area more than anywhere. I love when a workout that on paper seems simple just crushes you. Gonna have to add this routine and some others on a 3-4 times a week basis. There is no way this won’t make me stronger and fitter. Love it!
Note to self: 5 weeks til Puerto Vallarta! Swimsuit and short skirts. *gulp*



100 jumping jacks
90 lunges
80 squats
70 leg lifts (I do 70 each leg)
60 jumping jacks
50 lunges
40 squats
30 leg lifts
20 jumping jacks
10 minute run
x2

Try Deck of Death: hearts=situps, clubs=pushups, diamonds=squats, spades=jumping jacks, joker=lunges. Match number on card for #reps. Ouch!
I could definitely feel it the next day since all I have been doing is running, walking and weights for the arms/back. Guess I needed to switch up my routine a bit.
